A trip to Rock & River is all about trying something new, gaining confidence and learning from new and exciting experiences. We welcome school groups all year round for action packed multi-activity days or residential visits.
Choose from a fantastic range of adventurous or curriculum based activities, all at our idyllic outdoor centre in the Lancashire countryside. We'll come to you to deliver activities in your own fields and sports halls.

Our Holiday Activity Programme is all about having a great time and being active during the holidays. It's for young people to experience challenging, adventurous activities, make new friends and return to school healthier and more confident.
Every day is unique as they try each of our exciting outdoor activities. Leave them with our experienced, fully qualified instructors to have the time of their lives!

A party at Rock & River is all about having fun trying something new and exciting! Choose from 12 exhilarating activities, in breathtaking surroundings, all at our outdoor adventure centre in Lancashire.
There's all sorts of fun and games, indoors and outdoors, above the trees or on the water - perfect for adventure seeking boys, girls and grown-ups too.
Our Climbing Club is back...
Crag Rats is our friendly, adventurous activity club for young people.
Based in our indoor climbing barn, but with plenty of opportunities for Archery, Kayaking, High Ropes and more. Great for keeping active, making friends and learning to climb.

Adventure Activities Licensing ensures that Rock & River follow good safety management practices. These practises allow young people to experience exciting and stimulating activities outdoors without being exposed to avoidable risks of death or disabling injury.
The Learning Outside the Classroom quality badge is awarded to providers who have pledged to engage in an ongoing process to sustain high-quality learning outside the classroom and who demonstrate that they meet six specific quality indicators.
