Courses delivered
A very popular course for your students to gain an additional qualification that will enhance both their social and personal skills and their employability within the growing sport and recreation industry.
This has been accredited by QCA and is part of the National Qualification Framework as a vocationally related qualification. It is a level 1 qualification of 60 recommended guided learning hours that will be delivered over a one-week (5 day) intensive residential period. This course is particularly suitable for those who are undecided about their future and wish to find out more about themselves, how they relate to other people and the world of work in order to be able to plan more effectively for their future development. The qualification consists of three mandatory units:
- Unit 1 Develop a personal effectiveness profile and action plan
- Unit 2 Participate in the delivery of an outdoor activity session
- Unit 3 Identify opportunities for vocational development and employment
Rock & River is an NCFE accredited centre for the delivery of this qualification, but colleges would need to register students themselves for the purpose of accessing LSC funding
